This is the full primary series of Ashtanga yoga with the traditional Sanskrit vinyasa count. Suitable for all students who have started learning Ashtanga at any level. This class will be taught by guest teacher Randy Osgood.
Meet Randy:
my yoga journey began in 1994 with the sivananda tradition. in 2012, i recommitted to a consistent physical practice at the balanced yoga studio. two years later, in 2014, i deepened my commitment to ashtanga yoga at the yoga shala in ridgefield, studying with valerie schneiderman. over the years, i have had the privilege of learning from stan woodman, training directly with manju jois, and studying with many dedicated ashtanga teachers.
i have also explored vinyasa krama as taught by srivatsa ramaswami, receiving ongoing guidance through his trainings. remaining rooted in krishnamacharya’s teaching lineage has helped me maintain a balanced and sustainable practice.
since beginning to teach in 2015, i have focused on meeting each student where they are, offering attentive and individualized guidance in asana—even within group classes. my training in mindful yoga for veterans and trauma has deepened my comittment to creating safe, supportive environments where every practitioner feels welcomed and respected in their unique practice.
